Fostering Kids

I am a foster mom of 3 kids that have changed my life for better or worse. I was an LPN on the Geriatric end of the health care. I had a little  boy whom died at 2 yrs old, other than him I have not had any exposure to kids for 20yrs and then bam one day I have 3 kids all under 5 yrs old. I may get to keep them, and that scares me to death. I have just moved into my dream home, decorated with antiques I have collected over 20 years, and 3 little kids, wow. I guess I just didn't want to hear everyone's warnings about how children change your life. In the last year I have gone from a singlewide trailer, 5 day a week job, no budget required. To a new home, kids, stay at home mom, and a tight budget. And not a single person around me whom understands why I wanted kids when I couldn't have them, why I wanted to do it late in life. Some would wonder why I would decide to start a website, since I am also new to computers. Guess the best thing to say is I finally woke up and decided to take life by the horns and stop working so hard at just making money and waiting until everything is perfect.

Farm Life

All of my changes have taken place on our Farm in Central Missouri. We raise cattle and poultry and produce fertilizer, and hay. The farm is old family operation and a lot of work for my husband and I, just try finding any decent help these days. Its all about broken down fences, mud, and manure daily. This part of my life at least has not changed mutch over the last 5 years, and is actually getting easier with my not having a work schedule, and children can follow me around with the farm work and they love it.
